MediationMediation is a civil procedure in which one or more mediators help the parties to peacefully resolve a civil dispute. The parties of the dispute may agree on certain procedure of mediation by selecting one of the sets of rules or by establishing separate rules of the mediation procedure. If the parties have not agreed on the type of a mediation procedure, a mediator carries out a procedure based solely on the rules established by law and conducts the procedure properly, taking into account the circumstances of the dispute. Mediation involves a conclusion of peace treaties, which have a power of law for the parties of the dispute. If a dispute resolved by mediation is not considered at the same time by a court, then at the mutual request of the parties, the peace treaty can be approved by the court. A peace treaty, approved by a court order, gives the parties of the dispute the power of res judicata and can be enforced compulsorily.
